Bathroom facilities for Widows (women)  residing in an area known as the slums in Baljeet Nagar, India. Widows residing in the area, specifically women, are seen as second class citizens with nowhere to turn to. They are often seen using the outdoors as bathroom facilities. To provide dignity to the widows, HAAF funded a bathroom facility to be used only by the women in the village.

The  Program is an after-school community action program for female students in Grades 5 to 9. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to participate in educational and stimulating activities aimed at developing them into strong, confident and  positive role models for their community.

 

The cost to run this program for one site is $10,000 per school year (SEPT-JUNE): this includes costs for up to 25 female identified students- field trips/transportation, snacks, and program leaders. To start, HAAF’s goal is to raise enough funds to sponsor one site in hopes to expand to include additional schools.[/cz_title][cz_gap height=”100px”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
